Urban Television Network Corporation will produce and broadcast a made for television special on minority
entrepreneurs and how they interact and work with Corporate America. The special will be a pilot for a weekly show that will air beginning in 2006. UATV will conduct interviews at the National Minority Supplier Development Conference, October 24 - 26, 2005 in Dallas.
For one month, a budding home-based entrepreneur will live under public scrutiny in a storefront incubator here, relying solely on a laptop computer equipped with Verizon broadband services to meet basic needs and pursue a dream of starting a business.
The Incubator is part of Verizon's "Realize" campaign, launched in August in Philadelphia and Washington D.C.,
which features Verizon broadband customers who tell stories of how technology helps them pursue their dreams.
John W. Marriott III, executive vice president -- lodging of Marriott International, Inc.
will leave the company in January 2006 to serve as chief executive officer of J.W.M. Family
Enterprises, L.P., a private partnership. Mr. Marriott also has accepted the position of vice chairman of Marriott International's Board of Directors.
